In the league free week Bangor Club hosted a top Blitz tournament at their club - with 34 players in attendance and Brendan Jamison controlling.

Blitz is a game of time and speed - its like superfast instinctive moving. So easy to get a won position only to loose it in the thought of how to win!
With 3 minutes and 2 second increments it was planned to have 12 rounds.
A plenty was set for the first illegal move - Brendan would pause his clock and reset the clocks. For a second illegal move the game was lost.

In Round 2 Mark Seidman gets an excellent result a draw against one of the tournament favourites Danny Roberts. James Wong beat Albert McCarter and unrated Ben Toogood beat Brain Fitzsimons. The rest went to rating.

Second to last round and Danny Roberts can still be caught. Adam Fitzsimons has done brilliantly to play on the top board and challenge Dannys lead - Danny commented that it was a good game and Adam is definitely a player to watch. Another player in the top 3 tables Louie McConkey challenges the top players.
