The Atlantic Hotel Portrush hosted a series of events over the weekend of 12th/13th October. A Simultaneous against Brendan Jamison. An active tournament of Six rounds finished off with an evening Blitz on Saturday evening.

In the league free week Bangor Club hosted a top Blitz tournament at their club - with 34 players in attendance and Brendan Jamison controlling.

Another Brilliant Omagh Championship Rapidplay - November 24th
Hosted by the Omagh Club - a regular event in our chess calender and one we look forward to. The 2018 Omagh Rapidplay Championship took place on Saturday 24th November with 45 players. One of our largest competitions.

The Schools Ulster Championship 2018/19 the results
A new Ulster Champion was crowned at Methody College on Saturday 8th December. Kamal Taufik Under 12 won the crown against tough odds.
