(B&D League Week 15) After handily beating Ballynafeigh 2, plus a win in a rescheduled match against QUB 1, champions Muldoons 1 have overtaken Silver King rivals Ballynafeigh 1.
Clash of Titans - Mikhail v Brendan Simultaneous
The Double Monster Simul Match saw Mikhail Pavlov (1766) and Brendan Jamison (1743) go into battle against 11 different players. Brendan’s red team faced the Russian opera star; meanwhile Mikhail’s blue team duelled with the sugar cube sculptor.
QUB 3 complete their stroll to Division 3 title
(B&D League 2016/17 Week 16) What had been obvious since at least December became a mathematical certainty this week as QUB 3 convincingly beat Ballynafeigh 5 to take the Division 3 plate with four matches to spare. Elsewhere, Muldoons 1 extended their lead with a win over The A Team while Division 2 got a bit more interesting as Ballynafeigh 3 lost for the first time this season.
