With leaders Muldoons 1 having a free week, Ballynafeigh 1 had a chance to put some pressure on the defending champions - a chance they took in style as they hammered The A Team 4.5-0.5. David Houston, Steve Scannell, John Bradley and Damien Lavery all won for the visitors, with only Alan Thomason giving up a half-point to Bruce Maclean. Ballynafeigh 2 were a player short against QUB 1 and went down 3.5-1.5, although Eoin Carey (1630) achieved a creditable win over Callum Ormerod (1759), claiming the upset of the week after a piece sacrifice went awry.

Ballynafeigh 3 extended their lead with a comfortable win over Kelly's Heroes. Once again, it was the Zelenchuks who did the damage for the home side, with Daniil beating Bernard Jaffa and Dmitry beating Craig Stevenson. Muldoons 2 were no match for Civil Service as the Stormont-based side's superior strength in depth took its toll. Bottom side Ballynafeigh 4 lost heavily to Fruithill, while QUB 2 vs Bangor Webbs was postponed.
