Belfast Chess Social host Rapid Tournament and FIRST EVER In-Person Blitz Tournament Played on Computers
The tournaments included BCS' first ever in-person Blitz Tournament played on computers. In this highly original setting for a chess tournament, 9 competitors battled it out in Reboot's state-of-the-art computer suite, playing a Swiss-style tournament - via Chess.com - with time formats of 3 minutes + 2 second increments.

Following this, Belfast Chess Social hosted an Over the Board Rapid Tournament in the same venue, with a format of 10 minutes + 5 second increments.
Queen's student Aashay Kher was the deserving winner of the Rapid tournament. Aashay won all of his group games, before besting Peter McLoughlin in the final.
