Holywood Mini Blitz Championship 2021
Tue 26 October 2021 : 10am to 11:30am
Location: The Holywood Old school, 92 Church Road, BT18 9BX.
During the Halloween mid-term school break, Holywood will have its first little blitz tournament to help promote a new chess club in the town. The tournament will be indoors at The Holywood Old School, see flyer attached with Heather Lowry, Director of this new chess club.
It is a 12 minute walk from Holywood train station.
If travelling by car, you are permitted to park in the church car park opposite the building.
Heather has a little coffee machine for anyone wishing to have a hot drink.
Built over 150 years ago, the venue is a very spacious room and has a high ceiling. We are keeping the front door open for ventilation. With tables spaced out for social distancing, we have room for 12 players at this event.
Heather has set the entry fee at £2 to cover the cost of room hire and 6 medals. Players will have 5 minutes each to make all their moves so it will be super fast and super fun!
To book a place in the competition, players will need to pay their fee in advance by PayPal to the Chief Arbiter B. Jamison in advance:

Please note we expect all spaces to fill up within a few hours of this event being advertised so the organisers apologise in advance for having restricted numbers.
Before submitting your entry fee by PayPal, you can email bangorchessclubni@gmail.com to check if there are any spots left in the competition
